Professional Services teams take care of many events for well-known customers with individual requirements. Meanwhile, development teams are working on the continuous upgrade of the webcast platform SlideSync.

Your responsibilities:


As a member of our Information Technology team, you’ll play a key role in automating our business processes within Office 365 and in improving our Modern Workplace environment.

Using the Power Automate platform and custom scripting (preferably Ruby), you will build automated processes connecting our ERP platform (Dynamics 365 Business Central) with our internal business applications and SlideSync, our flagship live streaming platform.

As part of this process, you collaborate with external consultants that support and guide our work. You’ll also interface with our internal users to collect and discuss their requirements, prepare documentation and hold internal training sessions.

Together with our CTO, you will help expand the IT department in the areas Modern Workplace, Security / Device Management and Networking.

Your profile:


  • You are enrolled in a degree in Business Informatics (Wirtschaftsinformatik), Computer Science or a related discipline
  • You have strong programming affinity and good working knowledge of RESTful APIs
  • You have good knowledge of Office 365, ideally with Power Automate and possibly Microsoft Azure.
  • You have basic knowledge of networking and systems administration.
  • You are a team player who can work independently. You can identify, communicate and solve problems in a team.
  • You possess good written and verbal communication skills. You should have at least intermediate German skills and be proficient in either German or English.
  • This position is part-time on location in our Berlin office, with home office options in the current COVID-19 situation.

Your responsibilities:


Together with other developers, you will design and build new features and help maintain SlideSync, our flagship live streaming platform.

SlideSync’s backend runs on Ruby on Rails, with MySQL and Redis data stores, in a Linux / Mac environment.
The frontend is powered by both ES5 and ES6, leveraging jQuery, Bootstrap and React. On top of that, we use custom and off-the-shelf video streaming infrastructure. We rely on Git for version control and our automated test suite runs under RSpec and Jest. We host on AWS OpsWorks with nginx/Passenger.

Your profile:


  • You are a talented engineer with a focus on frontend, an eye for design and usability, and the ability to take on the occasional backend development task.
  • You have solid experience in core frontend web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and the tools and libraries that extend them.
  • You have basic knowledge of backend development, including experience with MVC frameworks and command-line operations.
  • You are a team player who can work independently. You can identify, communicate and solve problems in a team. Involvement in open source and side projects is greatly valued.
  • You write clean code with strong consideration for community best practices and maintainability.
  • You have knowledge of automated testing, TDD, BDD.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for both internal and client concerns. German skills are a plus.
  • Experience with DevOps / AWS is a plus point
  • This position is full-time on location in our Berlin office. Temporary contract and freelance work are not options at this time.

MediaEvent Services is currently searching for a Project Manager (m/f/d) for the Professional Services Team. We are a 15-person, growing team at two locations: The development of our own webcast platform SlideSync.com and its support are located in Berlin, sales and the production team “Professional Services” is headquartered in Wetzlar, Hessen. You will be responsible for the smooth and professional production of live webcasts. For this purpose you will plan the AV production at our company site in Wetzlar and support its execution nationwide. You are a competent contact person for our customers and the production team on site.

Your responsibilities:


  • Independent planning and realization of digital events
  • Preparation of quotes, cost calculations and settlements
  • On-site supervision of productions in D-A-CH
  • Communication with national and international customers and their service providers
  • Capture, trace and prioritize customer requirements and feedback

Your profile:


  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Very good technical understanding and experience in event technology and/or event management

MediaEvent Services is looking for a Support Specialist (m/f) for the Client Service Management team.
We are an 18-member growing team at two locations: The development of our own webcast platform SlideSync.com is located in Berlin, support, sales, and the production team “Professional Services” has its headquarters in Wetzlar, Hessen.
You will support our customers in the independent use of our webcast platform SlideSync and will be the competent contact person for our customers and our production teams on site.

Your responsibilities:


  • Support our customers in the configuration and execution of their webcasts on our SlideSync platform
  • Template-based creation and adaptation of digital events
  • Monitoring, prioritization, and support of customer inquiries via all available communication channels (especially e-mail and telephone)
  • Communication with national and international customers and their service providers
  • Trouble Shooting in case of occurring problems
  • Capture, track and prioritize customer requirements and feedback

Your profile:


  • Very good organization and communication skills
  • Very good German and English language skills (spoken and written)
  • Good knowledge of CSS3
  • Knowledge of audio/video/network or transmission technology is an advantage but not a prerequisite
  • A strong feeling for accurate layouts (based on existing style guides)
  • Reliability, willingness to take responsibility and initiative
