MediaEvent Services is looking for a Working Student specializing in Media Information Technology or Computer Science for the Client Service Management team.
We are an 18-member growing team at two locations: The development of our own webcast platform SlideSync.com is located in Berlin, support, sales, and the production team “Professional Services” has its headquarters in Wetzlar, Hessen.
You will support our customers in the independent use of our webcast platform SlideSync and will be the competent contact person for our customers and our production teams on site.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support our customers in the configuration and execution of their webcasts on our SlideSync platform
  • Template-based creation and adaptation of digital events
  • Monitoring, prioritization, and support of customer inquiries via all available communication channels (especially e-mail and telephone)
  • Communication with national and international customers and their service providers
  • Trouble Shooting in case of occurring problems
  • Capture, track and prioritize customer requirements and feedback

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled in a degree in Media Information Technology (Medieninformatik), Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Very good organization and communication skills
  • Very good German and English language skills (spoken and written)
  • Good knowledge of CSS3
  • Knowledge of audio/video/network or transmission technology is an advantage but not a prerequisite
  • A strong feeling for accurate layouts (based on existing style guides)
  • Reliability, willingness to take responsibility and initiative
  • Quick comprehension, as well as independent thinking and acting
  • Serious appearance towards customers and partners

Your responsibilities:

Together with other developers, you will design and build new features and help maintain SlideSync, our flagship live streaming platform.

SlideSync’s backend runs on Ruby on Rails, with MySQL and Redis data stores, in a Linux / Mac environment.
The frontend is powered by both ES5 and ES6, leveraging jQuery, Bootstrap and React. On top of that, we use custom and off-the-shelf video streaming infrastructure. We rely on Git for version control and our automated test suite runs under RSpec and Jest. We host on AWS OpsWorks with nginx/Passenger.

Your profile:

  • You have solid experience in core frontend web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and the tools and libraries that extend them.
  • You have basic knowledge of backend development, including experience with MVC frameworks and command-line operations.
  • You are a team player who can work independently. You can identify, communicate and solve problems in a team. Involvement in open source and side projects is greatly valued.
  • You write clean code with strong consideration for community best practices and maintainability.
  • You have knowledge of automated testing, TDD, BDD.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for both internal and client concerns. German skills are a plus.
  • Experience with DevOps / AWS is a plus point
  • This position is full-time on location in our Berlin office. Temporary contract and freelance work are not options at this time.

MediaEvent Services is currently searching for a Project Manager (m/f/d) for the Professional Services Team. We are a 15-person, growing team at two locations: The development of our own webcast platform SlideSync.com and its support are located in Berlin, sales and the production team “Professional Services” is headquartered in Wetzlar, Hessen. You will be responsible for the smooth and professional production of live webcasts. For this purpose you will plan the AV production at our company site in Wetzlar and support its execution nationwide. You are a competent contact person for our customers and the production team on site.

Your responsibilities:


  • Independent planning and realization of digital events
  • Preparation of quotes, cost calculations and settlements
  • On-site supervision of productions in D-A-CH
  • Communication with national and international customers and their service providers
  • Capture, trace and prioritize customer requirements and feedback
  • Development and improvement of organizational processes
  • Contribution of new ideas

Your profile:


  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Very good technical understanding and experience in event technology and/or event management
  • Knowledge of audio/video/network or transmission technology is an advantage; but not a requirement.
  • Reliability, responsibility and self-initiative
  • Quick comprehension skills and independent thinking and handling of issues
  • Serious appearance towards customers and partners
  • Stress resistance because workload is not always linear
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, written and spoken (level: C1 or higher)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Offics365

Your responsibilities:

You support us throughout Germany with the implementation of live webcasts, as well as in our operations center in Wetzlar. You prepare the hardware & software for a smooth and professional production and are a competent contact for our customers and the production team in all technical matters.

This includes:

  • Set-up of video equipment (camera units, video direction)
  • Camera operation
  • Vision mixing
  • Coordination and/or use of transmission technology (satellite or IP)
  • Maintenance of equipment

Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed your apprenticeship or academic degree in IT/media informatics or event technology.
  • You have experience in streaming media
  • You are communicative and work customer-oriented
  • Class B driving licence
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and willingness to travel
  • Good skills of German and English (written and spoken)
  • Reliability
